Live Website Demos

A great way show prospective clients what you can offer them is to let them see a live demo of what their new website could look like in action.

How to Setup a Live Demo

You can showcase any of our live demos, without showing your client the URL restaurantengine.com.  The way this can be done is by using an Iframe.

The iframe points to the live demo of that template, which resides on restaurantengine.com.  Basically, this “embeds” our live demo on the page, and fills the entire screen, giving the user the illusion that they’re viewing your site and not restaurantengine.com.

Using an FTP client like FileZilla, upload each folder and it’s contents (the index.html file) to your website.  Now the iframe demo will be viewable by visiting that location in a browser.

For example, if you upload the “primo” folder to the root level of your domain, the URL to show that live demo would be:  http://yourwebsite.com/primo

Our live demos don’t include any references to Restaurant Engine.  They include content that nicely showcases many of the features built into our system, including some carefully chosen stock photos and content.

Note:  If the user were to inspect the source code of the page, it’s possible they would see restaurantengine.com in the source.  However, it is highly unlikely that clients would go so far (or know how) to do so.
